Lena was born on August 8, 1933 in Yorkton, SK and passed away at the Victoria Hospital on September 6, 2008. She grew up 4 miles north of White Beech, SK and attended school at Smokey Spruce. During her school years, the younger kids remember her playing baseball. She also babysat for various families. After leaving school she got married and moved to Yorkton and lived there for several years and she then moved to Prince Albert in 1966. During her 42 years in Prince Albert she got to know many people and made many friends. At Church on Sunday mornings she was a familiar figure sitting in her favorite pew with a smile upon her face. She worked at the Victoria Hospital as a Dietician from 1966 until her retirement in 1990. Lena will be remembered as a strong, faithful, quiet and committed individual, always smiling and polite. One of the eldest siblings in her family, she had an enduring compassion and concern for her siblings all her life. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Lena is survived by her brothers and sisters Bill (Vivian) Toderash of Swan River, MB, Peter (Lois) Toderash of Winnipeg, MB, Ann Illsley of Winnipeg, MB and Steven Toderash of Edmonton, AB and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Mike in 1947 and John in 2007; her mother Mary in 1995 and her father George in 1946. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the North Harvest Community Church, 1201 â€" 1st Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Shane Acorn officiating.
