March 31, 1949 " May 7, 2008

The family of Leslie Ronald Brody is sad to announce his passing. Les left us this past Wednesday going peacefully in his sleep after a long but optimistic view of chronic illness. Les was born on March 31, 1949 in Kinistino and left us on May 7, 2008 at the age of 59. Les was truly a unique individual and touched many lives as an active community member. He took pride in his involvement with soccer and spent countless hours volunteering with minor hockey and was a great friend and board member with Prince Albert Mental Health. Les’s career was devoted to Forestry with the Provincial Government, many of the seedlings reforested in this province will carry Les’s touch. He loved his job and the outdoors. Above all else, Les took special pride in his family and his grandchildren were his life. Les is survived by his wife Linda Viklund; daughters Carrie-Lynn (Marlow Rask) and their daughter Jessika, Gina (Jeremie) Lizee and their daughters Alaina and Brooke; his son Michael (Reizl); his stepchildren Amber and Ashley Viklund; his sisters Marie (Dennis) McCutchin, Pat (Lyle) Robson, Betty (Ross) Ramos and Dorothy (Ray) Wilgenbusch; his brothers Bill and Monty (Kari); his sister-in-law Cathy (Allan) Oar; special Aunt and Uncle Fern and Roy Berg; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and his special companion Ceasar. He was predeceased by his father Bud Brody in 1976; his mother Ione Brody in 2001 and his nephew Rodger Wilgenbusch. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association, Prince Albert Chapter, 1322 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK S6V 4W3. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Alliance Church, 2777 " 6th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK, with Pastor Ron Goertzen officiating.
