It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Elizabeth Odnokon at the age of 76. Lorraine will be remembered by her children Mickey, Mark (Brenda), Pam (Ken) Albers, Doug (Annamarie) and Patrick (Carla); her grandchildren Casey, Jay, Alex, Austin, Hallie and Grace; her sisters Ann (George) Becker, Madeline (Marvin) Cooney, and Doreen (Dave) Novecosky and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband John; her parents Albert and Helena Witt, three sisters and six brothers: Agnes, Phyllis, Clara, Joe, Leonard, Edward, Wilfred, Marvin, and Lorne. Lorraine was born in Humboldt Saskatchewan and grew up on farm near Carmel where she attended Country School Valley View. After attending high school in Humboldt, she moved to Saskatoon and worked with Sasktel as an operator and later moved to the accounting department. Lorraine spent fifty years married to John and was a devoted mother to her five children and grandchildren. She was very involved with St. Joseph Parish and in 2008 Lorraine was recognized for 35-years of volunteer service with her church and community. Lorraine enjoyed travelling, golfing with her family and friends, and was famous for her cookies, pies and homemade buns. She was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. God bless. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 with Celebrant Reverend Father Matthew Nguyen. Both services will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 - 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Matthew Nguyen. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
