Obituary for Oley Muriel Agnes Dreaver

DREAVER " Mrs. Muriel “Oley”
October 25, 1922 " June 8, 2008

Muriel (Oley) Dreaver, born October 25, 1922 at Sandy Lake, Sask., passed away June 8, 2008 in Regina, Sask. at the age of 85. Oley was a very strong woman who dearly loved her family and friends. She was a devoted Christian who faithfully read her bible every day, saying prayers for everyone she knew. She treasured visiting most of all, and appreciated the time people took when they stopped by to say hello and share their stories; making sure everyone who came into her home felt welcome. Oley especially appreciated the time given by her nieces Joan and Judy, and her daughter-in-law Mimi to help her, keep her company and run errands for her. She enjoyed cooking and was always baking so she had something on hand to feed her many visitors. She kept herself busy with sewing, reading, doing puzzles, watching world news, and discussing politics. Oley loved to have a good laugh, teasing and having fun with her kids and grandchildren, and had many stories about all the stages her kids and grandchildren went through. She also enjoyed telling stories about growing up at Sandy Lake and Mont Nebo recounting all the hardships her and her siblings survived as children, after the passing of their mother. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Oley is survived by her children Darlene (Jose) Navas of Prince Albert, Allan (Mimi) Dreaver of Prince Albert, Diane Dreaver of Prince Albert, Debbie Dreaver of Prince Albert, Audrey Dreaver of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jocelyn (Fred) Morin of Turnor Lake, and Derrick Dreaver of Prince Albert; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; her sister Albertine (Stan) Vermette; her brother George (Rita) Isbister; sisters-in-laws Nancy Crain & Lucille Isbister; special nieces Judy Robinson, Brenda Holmlund, Joan Dreaver & Velma Isbister and many friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband John George Dreaver; her daughter Karen Dreaver; her parents William & Ada Isbister; her sisters Ruth Dreaver & Beatrice Robinson; her brothers Russell & William (Bill) Isbister; her in-laws Tom & Eliza Dreaver, Ellen Dreaver, Helen Isbister (Little Helen); Bernice & Percy Dreaver, Allan Dreaver; Irvin Dreaver, Jimmy Dreaver, William Robinson and Placid Laliberte.
