BENVENUTI â€" Robert Nicolas. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce Robert’s very sudden and unexpected death, which occurred on Sunday, May 13th, 2007. Rob was 40 years old. Rob leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Janet (Robertson); his four children Rebecca, Nicholas, Matthew and Marissa; his mother Joan Benvenuti (Steve); mother and father-in-law Eunice and Barry Robertson; grandmother Mary Neschuk; uncle and aunt Barry and Sandra Neschuk; brother and sister-in-law Darcy and Sandra Hing and their children Brittany, Megan, Rochelle and Karla; his nephew Christopher Robertson (Michelle) and their daughter Keanna. Rob also leaves behind a host of other relatives, friends and special neighbours Bonnie and Steve Wintringham. Rob was predeceased by his grandfather Nick Neschuk; Janet’s grandmother Martha Robertson and his sister-in-law Terri Robertson. Rob was born in Vancouver, but the family soon moved back home to Prince Albert. After receiving his schooling, Rob began working at P.A. Northern Bus Lines, a career which covered a span of 22 years. Because of his natural ability for mechanics and electronics, Rob worked himself up to be head shop foreman. Rob faced all jobs and challenges with a big smile. His instinctive mechanical expertise as a trouble-shooter will be missed across North America. Rob was a gentle person who loved his family above everything and was very involved in their lives. He loved all sports especially hockey and football and became very involved with his son’s hockey career. Rob believed in living life to the fullest. In lieu of other tributes, cheques made out to the Benvenuti Children Trust Fund will be greatly appreciated and may be left at Gray's Funeral Chapel. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2007 with Mr. Brian Clarke officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2007, with celebrant Reverend Father Tuyen Vu. Both services will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
