Obituary for Stephen "Steve" Nicholas Medve

With very heavy hearts and aching souls we regretfully announce the passing of Stephen Nicholas Medve on September 13, 2015, age 82 of Prince Albert, SK, after complications from extensive cancer surgery. His parents Michael Medve and Mary (Imbre) Medve immigrated as a young couple from Budapest, Hungry. They had three sons. Stephen was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Michael Medve. Stephen was married for 59 years to his dear wife Joan (McKay) Medve whom he lost December 21, 2012. He is survived by his son David Colin Medve married to Carol (Goodwin) Medve, their three children Jade, Brett and Drew; Stephen's daughter Linda Lieffers (Medve ) married to Robert Lieffers and their two children Kaylee and Thea. Our father loved life, people, loved airplanes and was a pilot himself. He loved the lakes and fishing. He so adorned all his pets. A special mention to his retired guard dog Rex who is still waiting for his master to return home. Stephen started his company PA Auto Wreckers in 1965 which has now been passed down to his son David. We will all dearly miss Papa. May you dance in heaven with Nannie. We want to extend a special heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Victoria Hospital and a very special thank you to Dr. Rashid. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Beulah Land Baptist Church (Highway 55 across from Airport) with Pastor Dave Webster officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director (306-922-4729).
