Seretha Elizabeth Rogg 1934 – 2019 Seretha, better known in Redvers, SK as “Sam” and in Nova Scotia and Kenora, ON as “Birdie”, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Seretha was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on May 29, 1934 to Roy and Elizabeth Fells. She was the youngest of 15 children. Seretha leaves to mourn her loss, her husband of 37 years Gerry Rogg, Redvers, SK and her only child Robin Lundgren, Redvers, SK. She will also be lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren, Tina Murray, Michael (Robyn) Michalchuk, Chrissy Scott and Evy Cameron all of Kenora, ON and Troy Lundgren, Kelowna, BC; four great grandchildren, Keagen, Nathan and Gareth Murray, Kenora, ON and Kira Lundgren of Kelowna, BC have all lost their great grandmother. Seretha also leaves behind many, many broken hearts, especially by the Filipino community who lovingly call her “Lola Sam” (Grandmother). Seretha loved traveling the world entertaining, gardening, crafts, cooking & baking 100’s of dozens of cookies to share with the town at Christmas. She loved her 2 years in the Air Force from 1952 – 1954. She also loved knitting, crafting, playing cards, dancing and most of all laughing with friends and family. She is gone but will not be forgotten. The Funeral Mass for Gerry (passed away October 24, 2019) and Seretha was celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers, on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Andree presiding. A luncheon followed in the parish hall, after which the Rite of Committal took place at the Redvers Town Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made towards the Redvers Pool renovation fund in memory of “Sam”.
