Donald Hill

Donald Maurice Hill was born on May 13, 1943 in East St. Paul Manitoba. His parents Roger and Wally and 3 siblings, Dorothy, Bruce, and David all grew up in Imperial, Saskatchewan. He left home at an early age to work on the oil rigs before getting into heavy equiment operating in British Columbia, specializing as a finishing grader operator. He married Yvonne and they raised three children, Peter, Kevin, and Nicole. He was handy with his hands enjoying making bural tables, clocks etc. He also enjoyed sports like stock car racing, F1 racing, football, and hockey. He was a big Saskatchewan Riders fan even while living in B.C.. He had a lot of pride for the work he did and his company, HCL Construction, in Moose Jaw. Don grew ill in early 2017 and rapidly worsened before passing away, from liver and kidney failure, on April 26, 2017 in St. Paul's Hospital Saskatoon. He was predeceased by his father Roger and mother Wally. He is survived by his loving family, three children; Peter, Kevin, and Nicole (Hidenori); and two granddaughters Jasmine and Christina; his sister Dorothy (Mervin), two brothers Bruce (Charlene), David (Pat); and a number of nephews.
