BROOKER: Edith Clarice May 3, 1918 – July 10, 2017 Clarice passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2017 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her parents, Louisa and Richard Hill, (1967), her first husband, Bill Baird, (1968), her second husband, Walter Brooker (1999), also by her siblings, Reginald (2007) (Kit 1983) Hill, Kenneth (2002) (Dorothea 1980) Hill, Gwendolyn (1998), (Milford 1997) Crittenden, and Greta Sleeva (2016) (Jack Wright 1966) (Frank Sleeva 1979) and one son Ken Baird (2010). Clarice is survived by 2 stepchildren (Bill’s), Elsie (Ed) Seida, Dick Baird, and 7 children, Carol (Wayne) Gardner, Julie Friesen, Donna (Don) McCrimmon, Marvin Baird, Aileen (Chris) Salomons, Verna Zotzman (Eugene Berube), and 2 additional stepchildren (Walter’s), Edward (Gail) Brooker, and Eva (Gerry) McNeil, 36 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren. Clarice's positive attitude, always seeing the bright side and her amazing, light-hearted sense of humor was evident to anyone she had interactions with. She was stoic when enduring hardship and always put others first. Her love of music brought joy to all who listened to her play the piano. A Memorial Service will be held in the Imperial Community Centre on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Robson officiating.
