Robert Koczka

Bob Koczka passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 81 years of age. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean MacLean (Seabrook); his sister-in-law Mary Koczka (John – deceased); brother-in-law George Seabrook and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Shirley Koczka (McNabb); son Kelly; mother Matilda (Balogh); father Mike Sr.; sister Anne Zoney (Joe); John (Mary); Rose Robbestadd (Orvid); Mike Jr.; Tillie Schaan (Nick); George; (Marion); (Irene); mother-in-law Margaret Seabrook (Tayfel); father-in-law Gordon; brother-in-law Ken Seabrook. Bob was born on February 25, 1938 in Viscount. He grew up on the Koczka family farm and attended school at Farina, Manitou Hill, Viscount and Saskatoon. He achieved his journeyman of electrical in Saskatoon and later opened his own electrical business. He had many jobs over the years with electrical and farming being his primary interest. Bob was very community minded and was proud to have received an award for 23 years of service as counsellor for the RM of Viscount. Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, one-liners and many jokes. He loved to tell stories and visit and play cards with family and friends. He enjoyed looking at ad sections of the newspaper for deals. He loved to barter and collect a variety of things. He had a special passion for motorbikes, old cars and tractors. He had one or more of everything and could tell you exactly where it was. Bob had a large network of family and friends that he kept in contact with. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all. A Memorial Service for family will be held at a later date.
