Adell Martin Tilson Calloway, age 93, of Cornerstone Village, Johnson City passed on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Adell was born on Tumbling Creek in Unicoi County November 28, 1923 to Luther and Laura Foster Martin. She was the third of eight children. Adell was married to Estil Tilson until his death on May 20, 1979. She later married Norman Calloway of Gray. Adell completed her years of employment at Unicoi County High School. She loved the mountains and her Lord Jesus Christ. Adell enjoyed quilting, singing, gardening and an occasional fishing trip. She leaves behind to cherish her memories: two sons, Jerry Tilson and wife,Traci of Knoxville, and Greg Tilson and wife, Imogene of Harvest, AL; special daughter-in-law, Karren Tilson Logan of Knoxville; grandson, Justin Tilson and wife, Meredith; great grandchildren, Carleigh and Jackson, both of Knoxville; sisters, Jean Francis and Reba Barnett of Erwin and Joyce Erwin of Columbia, SC; brother, Hubert Martin of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel.
