Mary McDonald age 85, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at Shelby Ridge Rehab. Survivors include son Neal S. McDonald (Rima), daughter Debbie Lawrence (Packie), sisters Imogene Tolley, Shirley James, Lynn Driggers, grandchildren Chad and Magon Lawrence, Mandy and Brad Cox, Mary Beth and Chris Robertson, Tara and Melissa McDonald, Kristina and Allysa McDonald, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Ester Mitchell, brothers Junior Mitchell, Billy Mitchell, and Vann Mitchell. Graveside Services will be held Friday, August 7th, 2020 at 4:00 pm in Green's Chapel Cemetery, Green's Chapel Road Cleveland, Alabama 35049. (This will be a private family service). Ms. McDonald was a singer with the senior citizens group at Winfield First Baptist, the "Keenagers". She enjoyed singing at the nursing homes, loved to travel with the seniors group. Ms. Mcdonald was a nurse at Winfield Hospital, she loved her patients. She also enjoyed flowers, working in her yard and loved her grandchildren dearly. Ms. McDonald was an Eastern Star. Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
