Regina Danette Tawbush, age 52, of Cleveland passed away peacefully Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at St. Vincent's East in Birmingham. She was of the Holiness faith. A Science teacher, retired from the Blount County Board of Education after 29 years. Miss Tawbush taught at both Hayden school and Cleveland school. She had a BS from the University of Montevallo and a MA from University of Alabama in Birmingham. Miss Tawbush was salutatorian of her Cleveland High School class of 1982.
Survivors include parents Dan and Ann Tawbush; brother Andy Tawbush; niece Crystal Tawbush; nephew Cody Tawbush and a host of friends.
Miss Tawbush spent most of her time doing her school work; teaching the children. She was a volleyball coach for a number of years and loved to garden.
The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5th, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 6th, 2017 at 11:00 am in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Tabernacle Cemetery in Locust Fork, Alabama.
