Mr. George L. Underwood, age 61, of Gadsden, Ala., passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Funeral service to be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 1 o'clock p.m. at The Bride of Christ Worship Center with Pastor Reginald Huff officiating. Final Disposition will take place in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. He leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories his devoted wife, Mrs. Corrie Underwood of Gadsden, Ala.; one son, Cornelius Underwood of Gadsden, Ala.; one Daughter, Marquita Underwood of Gadsden, Ala.; granddaughters, Jamyia Scott, Corrieanna Underwood both of Gadsden, Ala.; three brothers, John (Sandy) Underwood, Reginald (Astrid) Underwood and Alwin Underwood; four sisters, Myrna Baker, Jacqueline Hamilton, Bernadette Bush and Regina (Lawrence) Tyson. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and many close and dear friends. The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service at the church.
