CAROLYN RENEE ROBINSON, a gift from God to Carl Wood and Larcena Teresa Battiste on September 2, 1951. She was the oldeset of eight children. She is preceded in death by her father Carl Wood and her brother Carl Michael Wood. Carolyn was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Mobile, AL in her early childhood. She graduated Valedictorian in 1969 from Toulminville High School (currently John L. LeFlore High School). She was very active in various clubs and has her picture displayed at the school for her achievements. After graduating she relocated back to Brooklyn, NY where she married Nathaniel Robinson, Sr. She is the mother of three sons. While in New York, she was a homemaker. After retuning to Mobile, she worked for Sam’s Club as a Sales Associate. Her colleagues said that she was “The One” that everyone looked for when entering the store. Ms. Carolyn was known to be one of the most kind, humble, sensitive, and caring persons you could ever meet. She will truly be missed by all. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons: Nathaniel (Trinette) Robinson and Clarence (Chris) Robinson of Mobile, AL, and Deshawn (Shirelle) Robinson of Brooklyn, NY; her mother, Larcena Teresa Battiste; four sisters: Larcena Teresa Wood A.K.A. Pinkie which was also her bestie, Ramona Antoinette Hargrove, Anglia M. Wood, Mary M. E. Taylor; two brothers: John A. (Yvette) Battiste of Semmes, AL and Ramon Anthony Battiste of Mobile, AL ; ten grandchildren (whom she was very devoted to): Deshawn, Danasia, Shynia, Collin, Clarence, Nala, Tayshawn, Cody, Samir, and Kaysin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, one devoted, Terri Milton. Carolyn embraced Christ at an early age. She attended Unity Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. She was a frequent visitor to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church after the union of her son Nathanial, Jr. and Trinette Peters (a devoted daughter-in-law).
