Charles Bernard Jones

Mr. Charles Bernard Jones (Bro Jones) was born on February 8, 1952 from the union of James and Nettie Jones. He was a native of Prichard, AL and graduate of Vigor High School where he was one of the first blacks to integrate. Shortly after high school, Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country during the Vietnam War. He later attended Mobile College (University of Mobile) where he received his Bachelor's in Ministry. He was such an inspiration to so many family and friends. Charles exchanged this life for his heavenly home on Thursday February 13, 2020 at North Mobile Nursing & Rehab. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Towner Jones; his parents James and Nettie Jones; and brother Maurice Jones. He leaves to cherish his sweet memories three devoted loving daughters Nashika (David) Kidd, Chasika Jones, and Raqueal Jones (Quinton Green); two sons Velus Jones and Kyle (Shawanda) Towner; two Goddaughters, one which he reared as his own Brittney Nix, and Micah Rowe; thirteen grandchildren, Kylen Towner, Velus Jones, Dajah Jones, Caliyah Speights Jones, Ryan Elyssa Williams, Breelyn Jones, Andre Vaughn, Cree Langston Jones Cobb, Kenyon Jones, Brandon Jones, Fredrick Thrash, Taylor Thrash and Hunter Thrash; five brothers James Edward Jones, Vernon Jones, Williams Aldwin Jones, Reginald Jones, and Wayne Jones; five sisters Yolanda Young, Marcheal (Maurice) Bradford, Jouanna (Tony) Coates, Dr. Jeter Jones Giles, and Tabitha (Terrance) Beaman.
