Rosie Lee Eager Obituary

Rosie Lee Eager, a lifelong resident Mobile, AL transitions from her earthly life to eternal glory on Tuesday February 4, 2020. She was born on Friday July 1, 1938 to the union of the late Wesley Crawford Sr. and Lora Dukes Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Charlie Eager, and grandson Damien Adams. Rolee married Charlie Eager March 4, 1957 and they had 6 children. She cared for her husband until his death March 30, 1994. She was all about family. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and friends. Her heart was one of love and loyalty. She always put her children and grandchildren first. She wouldn’t eat until all her grandchildren had eaten. They were the light of her life. She had an intimate relationship with God, and was a faithful member of Mt. Sinia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W.C. McNeal. She was then put on the sick and shut in list. Rolee was well known and a Matriarch in the Down The Bay Community. She was loved and respected by all. She helped raise not only her children but also her siblings and their children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other children in the Down The Bay Community. Rolee was known for her great cooking and trash talking. She would give it to you straight with no chaser whether you wanted to hear it or not. She opened her doors to any and every one. Her home was like a bed and breakfast because people would either come stay there, eat, or both. If someone fell on hard times they were always welcome to come and stay at her home. She fed the entire Down the Bay at some point or another. She leaves to cherish her memories seven devoted children: Linda Ely, Carrie (Curtis) Allen, Loretta (Wilson) Collier, Raymond (Willie Mae) Eager, Michael (Jacqueline) Eager, Sam Christopher (Chanda) Eager of Houston, TX, and April (Charles) Eager; nineteen beloved grandchildren: Shemeca, Brandon, Alexis, Curtis Jr., Antoine, Christian, Victoria (Jonathan), Ashley (Quincy), Martina (Andre),DeMarco (San’Ta), Angela of Atlanta, GA, Michael Jr, Shanterrica, Brittany, Jordan of Houston, TX, Sean of Houston, TX, Victoria, Lakino, Andrece (Leticia), and Ashleigh; thirty-two beautiful and loving great grandchildren: Santaneizia, Takeisha, Cameron, Dannie III of Huntsville, AL, Tommyia, Brandon Jr, Madison, Braylon, Brandy, Caidan, Dallas, Jordan, Antoine Jr, Calie, Kapri, Amiricle, Jordan, Laila, Kobe, Ciara, Charity, Byron, DeAntonio, Ver’shaun, Damien Jr, Taylor, Perez, Michael III, Ava, Emily, Ryleigh, Aspen, Jase, and Christian; two adored great great grandchildren: Kharter and Grayson.
