Harold Lamar Smith, Jr. of Troy passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Troy Regional Medical Center. He was 62. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home with Pastor Mack Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Harold was born July 24, 1954 in Montgomery, AL to Lamar and Rebecca Spann Smith. He is survived by his wife Diana Groover Smith, Troy; son, Brian Smith, Troy, daughter, Jennifer Smith, Nashville, TN; parents, Lamar and Rebecca Smith, Pike Road; brother, Roger Smith (Pam), Birmingham; sister, Beverly Patterson (Ed), Montgomery; and a grandson, Silas Ballew, Nashville; and a niece Erin Joye (Jay), Montgomery. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Turberville, Mike Floyd, Jim DeBray, Carmi Lowery, Malcolm McSwean, Jay Joye and Herman Corley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
