Kelly David Nixon Gilbert, Arizona Obituary

Kelly David Nixon

Kelly David Nixon, the third son of Jerry and Barbara Nixon, was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended Coronado High School, and then went on to join the military….Army branch. After returning home, he worked for Allied Signal Aerospace as a machinist for many years. Kelly is survived by his wife Kinda Nixon of 23 years, children Justin Nixon, Makayla Nixon, Brett Voyten, Cory Voyten, mother Barbara Nixon, brothers Shawn Nixon, Dennis Nixon and Dan Nixon, sister Kaitlynn Schmidt, 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Kelly was preceded in death by his father Jerry Nixon, children Shayna Nixon and Ryan Voyten. Kelly was a very kind and caring person, with a big heart, who enjoyed a good laugh with family and friends. He always showed an excitement for others and their accomplishments in whatever they chose to do, supporting them through their journey. He enjoyed the peacefulness of fishing for trout, while spending time in the pines on the Mogollon Rim….even if he didn’t catch anything. Kelly was a caring and loving son, brother, husband, and father, who loved every second he spent with his family and friends. He is loved by many and will be missed.
