Roger Roy Davidson

Roger Roy Davidson, 69, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. on Friday, May 12, 2006 after spending many years battling cancer. He was born on December 05, 1936 in South Dakota to Roy and Grace Davidson. Roger was a resident of Lake Havasu City for 12 years, moving from South Dakota in 1994. He was owner and president of Davidson Chevrolet in Mobridge, SD until 1988 as well as the president of the South Dakota Auto Dealers in 1987. Growing up Roger loved playing Baseball and later softball and sponsored a softball team for many years. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying such sports as basketball, baseball and football as well as spending many hours playing competitive golf with friends. Roger loved taking family vacations throughout the West, adding fun and laughter to every day. Roger was also a "Grillmaster" in all seasons on his Weber grill. He was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Roman Catholic Church in Lake Havasu as well as the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. He was an honorable member of the Lakota Sioux Tribe of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, given the name "Chief Thunder Shield", (Wakiya Hotopi Wahacaka). The family said that they will remember Roger by his funny sayings, "Seminigoot?" ( how are you?), "Vashishe-shloosh" (not sure). and "Do you think the rain will ruin the rhubarb? Roger is survived by his wife, Darlene Davidson of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; children,, Dalis Davidson (Houston) Miller of Barnesville, Maryland, Douglas of of Kansas City, Kansas, Daniel (Lori) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Don of Chandler, AZ.; five grandsons, Aramin, Aaron, Garrett, Forrest and Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Grace Davidson. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 01, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Mobridge, South Dakota. Condolences and memories may be sent to Roger's family at www.lakehavasumortuary.com. Arrangements and Cremation were handled by Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory.
