Joanne F Alfano, 62, of Tucson, passed away on November 13, 2019 after an extended Illness in Tucson AZ. Joanne was born on February 6, 1957 to Frank and Rosemarie (Polatta) Alfano in Brooklyn NY. Joanne had a passion for helping others and she became Tucson’s first female firefighter in 1983. She was also trained as an EMT with Rural Metro Fire Department. Joanne also held other employment such as a Tucson Airport Authority police officer, Medical assistant, and executive chef. She enjoyed being known for her kind heart and desire to excel at anything she did. She was married several years to Timothy Pruitt during which she gave birth to their son Braden Alfano. Joanne loved costume jewelry, spending time with family, and creating daily paintings to send to her Facebook friends. Joanne also loved her two cats Asa and Smokey, but her biggest blessing is her son Braden who always will be her world. Joanne will be incredibly missed by all who knew and loved her. Joanne is survived by her brother - Ralph Alfano, Sister – Debra Romancho, and Son – Braden Alfano. Joanne is preceded in death by her Father – Frank Alfano, and Mother – Roasemarie Alfano (Polatta). The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00PM at Adair funeral homes – Avalon chapel located in Oro Valley, AZ.
