Kathryn Jones

Kathryn L Jones, 81, of Tucson, formerly of Wichita, KS, passed on Wednesday June 5th in Tucson AZ. She was born on February 18,1938, daughter of Clarence Carrie Wilson and Elizabeth ‘Jeanne’ Wilson (McMillan) in Macksville, KS. The family moved to Wichita where she attended West High School and met Danny J Jones. Danny still speaks of the beautiful blond with the steel blue eyes that agreed to go out with him 67 years ago. They were married on October 21, 1956 and over the next 63 and a half years built a life full of love and family. Together they raised two children, Jeff and Jeri; had 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Kathy was a homemaker, wife, super mom, scout leader, den mother, confidante and role model. She was a private person known for her kindness, grace, stubbornness and a passion for reading. She was so loved and will be greatly missed. Kathy is survived by her husband Danny, children Jeff and his wife Jackie Jones and Jeri Jones and her spouse Susan Alberts, siblings Bruce and his wife Joanne Wilson, Mary Ternes, and Richard and his wife Mary Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents C C and Elizabeth Wilson, sister Martha Nussbaum and brother C.E. Wilson.
