Amanda Holm

OBITUARY FROM ARTIE Amanda "Mandles or Mandy" went home on January 12th, 2016. Always full of life, she found nothing but good in everything or anyone she touched. After completing her studies at Regis University, her career path was followed by graduating from the Culinary school at the Art Institute of Colorado. Her life long passion was cooking and she referred to herself as "The Ultimate Chef". Aside from cooking, her other passions included the love of pets and nature. Amanda was a kind soul that always gave all that she had to give. She aspired to be free and fly as a butterfly and felt she was born into a free world without demands. She faced hardships in her life that she shouldn't have, but she always smiled and continued to charge ahead and never gave up. Her resilience and strength will forever be a constant reminder to her family and to everyone that she touched in the world. Amanda was her Mother's "precious baby". She was her Father's "Buddy", confidant and daily shining star. She was her Sister's best friend, soulmate and butterfly. There will never be a day that passes where each one of us do not remember her in our thoughts, prayers and hearts. Now that she has passed to heaven, her warmness and sensitivity will be missed each day. Never forgotten and always kept in our hearts. Her short time here is an example of the precious moments that we should all cherish in life. As a Father, the heartaches that she had, I wish I could have taken them away. My wish and hope that she is now in peace and smiling down upon on us as our guardian angel. The highlight of my day was when I would get home from work and sit in my chair and Mandy would come out of her room and say "Hi Dad! Could I make you a sandwich?" We would sit there chatting and sometimes arguing about whether we could watch the food channel or Bloomberg. Her warmth was always overwhelming. The most precious part of my day was when I would go into my bedroom and she would come in and sit on my bed and we would discuss the next day of work and always leaving my room with "I love you, Dad." Amanda will always be in my daily prayers and for those left behind mourning her, she will be the brightest shinig star in the universe. I love her always and I wish she was here. LETTER FROM DENISE This what I write is not so much an obituary, as it is a letter to all the people who knew my beautiful daughter, Amanda. She was a my princess a beautiful guiding light in my life who always challenged me to s ee the goodness in people and the beau ty that can exist in life. And, like a delicate flower her presence brought life, hope and love to those around her. And, despite all the adversities she faced in life, my Mandy was a fighter, she always believed. The poems and stories she loved to write both of the pain and beauty she saw in life, spoke to my soul and always reminded me that Life can be good , embrace it, learn from it and try to find the joy in life and being with one another. I will always remember my daughter for her beautiful smile, her big blue eyes that twinkled like the stars, her laughter, her love for everyone and hate for no one. All she wanted in her life was her family to experience peace, love and togetherness. Well Mandy you got your wish; the family is all here. Long live the beauty that comes down and through and onto all of us from your loving spirit. "I carry your heart with me ( I carry it in my heart) I am never without it. Anywhere I go, you go my daughter; and whatever is done by only me is your doing my darling. I fear no fate for you are my fate, my sweet, I want no world ( for beautiful daughter you are my world; and you are whatever a moon has meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you." FROM SISTER ERICA Amanda "Mandles" was full of life. She went at everything “head on” and lived her 36 short years with wonder and love for all others. She was a unique soul and gave her life in order to bring others together. She was meant to fly and be free. She faced hardships in those years that she shouldn’t have had to, but she continued to smile and to charge ahead and never give up. Her resilience and strength are a constant reminder for those who are left here to mourn the loss of her light. “She was never crazy, she just didn’t let her heart settle in a cage. She was born wild.. and the world need people like her. For it’s the horrors in her heart which cause the flames in ours. And she was always willing to burn for everything she has ever loved.” ~R.M Drake Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world. We miss you now and always. Never forgotten – always kept inside our hearts. Her short time here is an example of a life full of heart that we should all try to engage. There will never be a day that I do not say good morning or goodnight to her. She is my best friend, my soulmate, my sister. She is my Butterfly.
