Anthony Quaranta Sun City, Arizona Obituary

Anthony Quaranta

On Sunday, August 4, 2019, Joseph Quaranta, the best husband and father of four children passed away at the age of 79. Joe was born in Huntington, West Virginia to a large Italian family. Dad often spoke of times living near the Ohio River with his parents and siblings. Joe graduated from Fairland high school before moving west to Arizona with his family. Joe met his wife Carol at the historical honky-tonk ‘Mr. Lucky’s’. They were married on April 22, 1972. Joe was a phenomenal carpenter and could make anything from scratch. He not only executed perfection but demanded it, always saying “do it right the first time”. Dad lived for his family, providing endless time and love. He not only coached our soccer teams but made sure to be present cheering on the sidelines. Most of all, Dad loved to fish. We ate countless Bass filets growing up. Dad was at peace most when camping lakeside with his best friend Chico. Joe is survived by wife Carol, his four children, Deeann, Tony, Todd and Kim, his brothers Vince and Jim, and eight grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 at Regency Mortuary (9850 West Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351) at 10am. Flowers can be sent directly to the mortuary, or a donation can be made in Dad’s honor to Hospice of the Valley.
