Daniel Buchholz Obituary

Dan Buchholz came into the world April 17th, 1953 in Monmouth, Illinois, the second son of Robert and Mona Buchholz. He left our world and was set free Friday, January 13th, 2017 at his home in Peoria, Arizona with his wife by his side. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University and utilized it for his career in the property management field. Dan was an outgoing, fun-loving, kind-hearted man who touched the lives of many. He was all about having fun and being the life of the party. He could make the energy in a room change instantly with his jokes, laughter and sense of humor. Dan’s hobbies included scrapbooking, camping, playing cards, horseshoes, pool volleyball, shuffleboard, tennis and spending time with family and friends. Dan fought a courageous battle over the last ten years after surviving a debilitating stroke and two heart attacks. Even though he struggled through his recovery, he never lost his sense of humor or his ability to bring joy to others. Dan is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Kimberly, Jessica, Kirk, Kip, and Kasey; his grandchildren, Tatum, Bryce, Haley, Noah and Lucas. He is also survived by his mother, Mona, older brother, Mark, and younger brother and his partner, Rick and Brad and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeff and Lana Eckert. His family agreed that instead of having a formal service, we have a celebration of his life at his home. Dan, thank you for all the joy and heartfelt laughter you have brought to us. We are all better people for having you in our lives. Bond, James Bond……..
