David J. Maranto went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was 51 years old and resided in Phoenix, AZ. He was born in Chicago, IL, raised in Westmont, IL, and attended Marquette Manor High School as well as Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND. He moved to Arizona in 1981. Dave’s passion was basketball. He spent many years as a basketball coach and enjoyed coaching his sons Kyle and Austin. He is survived by his son Austin, and Austin's mother, Ruth, parents Roy & Cynthia Maranto, and siblings Mark, Mike, Beth and Miriam. Dave will be laid to rest at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary at 200 W. Beardsley, Phoenix, AZ 85027. Should friends desire, contributions for Austin Maranto's tuition would be appreciated.
