Gerald Tomczak Obituary

Gerald Tomczak was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 10-5-40 to Henry Tomczak and Alice (Tomczak) Netzel. He died 12-1-15 following a brief battle with adenocarcinoma. Gerald was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his sister Lorine Madunik, son Jerry Tomczak (Sandra), son Shanon Tomczak, daughter Tiffany Becker (Adam), and 4 grandsons.

Gerald Tomczak was an unconventional father and man. He would best be described as the constant dreamer, always waiting for his ship to dock. Gerald was adventurous and fearless. An envy of any single man, he held many jobs including gigilo, dance instructor, welder, and antique dealer. Gerald was a jack of all trades, master of none. With his wit and charm, he never met a stranger. When he became ill at 75, he was quoted as saying, “I lived for 74 years.”

Gerald squeezed enjoyment out of even the most mundane activities, and his boisterous laugh will be greatly missed by his family. If he were to pass along any wisdom to his 4 grandsons in his death, he would express the importance in trying new things and believing in one’s self.
