Gordon Longley

Gordon James Longley, Jr (Jim), of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on May 15th, 2017, after an illness. Jim was born May 31st, 1954, in Lakewood, Ohio. At age 6, he moved with his family to Downers Grove, Illinois, where he graduated from high school in 1972. He moved to the Phoenix area in 1974, and attended Glendale Community College and Arizona State University, where he studied music. Jim loved most all kinds of music, especially rock, classical, and jazz, and he played the drums. Jim is survived by son, Grayden, daughter-in-law Sarah, two granddaughters, Mairead and Ilsa, son, Nick, sister, Susan Sanders, nephews Joshua Sanders and his fiancé, Kari, and Stephen Luke Sanders and his wife, Bre, and daughter, Penelope, and niece Sarah Arnett, her fiancé Andrew, and her son, Dillon, and daughter, Abigail. A private service was held for family on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017. Donations can be made to The Arizona Humane Society, PBS, or radio station KBAQ in Phoenix. Arrangements are being made by Regency Mortuary, 9850 W Thunderbird Rd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
