James Brown Obituary

James (Jim) Patrick Brown, 78, of Peoria, AZ, passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at 12:15am at The Gardens of Sun City after succumbing to injuries from an aneurysm. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday May 27th at Regency Mortuary in Sun City, AZ. Jim was born February 11, 1938 in San Francisco, CA to Pat J and Casey Brown. He attended many boarding schools in CA and at the age of 17 he joined the Navy. On May 1, 1965 he married Ruby Irene Marsden in Phoenix, AZ. Jim was employed by IBM, GE and Maricopa County. He lived in many places for work including Japan, France, Washington and Arizona. He enjoyed the outdoors: biking, hiking, hunting, fishing and camping. The Grand Canyon (The trails and the river) was his favorite spot. He was an avid gun collector. He spent most of free time with his son and grandson. He also enjoyed reading, working on his computer and spending time with his family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife Ruby, son, Patrick Timothy Brown and his wife Daynica of Peoria, AZ, Grandson Keaton Charles Brown of Manhattan KS and Sister Marcia Brown of Aurora, CO and several other family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and his daughter Casey Joelle Brown.
