Jane Mason Obituary

Jane D Mason, 58, of Peoria, died from cancer on Wednesday May 7 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on February 11, 1956 in Aurora, Illinois, daughter of Francis Sibenaller and the late Elizabeth (Jacobs) Sibenaller. She was happily employed for 14 years at Safeway. She was a graduate of East Aurora High School. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dale Mason, and her sons Matthew Mason, Christopher (Renee) Mason and two grandchildren, Parker and Layne Mason. She is also survived by three brothers and four sisters, Henry (Jane) Sibenaller, Greensburg, Pennsylvania; Joan (Edward) Retterer, Montgomery, Illinois; Peter (Lauren) Sibenaller, Vancouver, Washington; Rose(Clint) Maxey, Lewiston, Idaho; John (Nancy), Naperville, Illinois; Diane, Peoria, Arizona (formerly of Simi Valley, California); Barbara (Dave) Smith, Elburn, Illinois. Also, two brothers and one sister, Norma (Jim) Wullbrandt, Payson, Arizona; Robert (Diane) Mason, Aurora, Colorado; and Pat (Jerry) Smith, Gilbert, Arizona; and a number of nieces and nephews. Jane had many talents. She was a skilled artist, particularly adept at cartooning and window painting the family’s video stores. She enjoyed special friendship with her many customers, Bunco friends, and exercising partners. She enjoyed spending time with family at their cabin in Prescott, antiquing, traveling to Las Vegas and Disney Parks, and attending Country Thunder with her sister, Diane. She will always be known for her good humor and positive approach to life. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 am - 2 pm, Monday, May 12, 2014 at Regency Mortuary at 9850 W Thunderbird Rd, Sun City, AZ.
