John Wallace Wyatt May 20, 1948-August 7, 2015 John Wyatt’s final battle ended on August 7th, 2015. He is free at last from his pain and suffering when he joined his Lord and Savior while on vacation in Payson, AZ. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10: am at Regency Mortuary, 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd, in Sun City, Arizona. John lived his life devoted to his God, Country and family. Serving his Lord and living a faith filled life meant everything to him. John walked hand in hand with his Lord through all the storms he endured. John joined the Navy and was sent to Vietnam. While serving on the PCF 89 Swiftboat, on November 8, 1968, they were hit by enemy fire. John spent years in the hospital and was disabled for the rest of his life. For his service, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Star and two Bronze Stars, the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 device, and the Purple Heart. John gave love unconditionally as a husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Janice, cherished daughter Tina, honored son Jason, loved daughter-in-law Karla and son-in-law Zack Lujan, and adored grandchildren Aaron Viehouser, Aaryn Knowles, Andrew Knowles and Zachary Lujan. John was a hero to his country, family, and friends.
