Judith Lenore Cascio Obituary

Judith (Judy) L. Cascio, 74, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully December 19th, 2015.

Judy was originally from Buffalo, New York and was a longtime resident of Pleasant Hills, Pa.


Her Memorial Service will be held in Sun City, AZ on December 30th at 2:00pm in the Lakeview Hilltop Gazebo, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. Parking is available at the Lakeview Center on the east side of the rec center – look for the Red Parking Area.

Judy was born in Lackawanna, NY to John and Charlotte Danahy on October 7th, 1941.

She attended high school at Mt. Mercy Academy and college at Rosary Hill College in Buffalo, NY, where she majored in French. Judy was a homemaker for many years and indulged her love of baking and doing crafts with her kids.


In her 30s, Judy became a certified EMT and was a founding member of the Pleasant Hills Ambulance Service. Toward the end of her career, she worked as an Office Manager for Allpine Sash in Pleasant Hills, PA.

After her retirement to Arizona 2003, Judy enjoyed volunteering at her granddaughter’s elementary school. Judy’s loves included attending the theater, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, traveling and helping raise her granddaughter. She opened her heart to become the Grandma to all the neighborhood kids.


Her daily crossword puzzles were always completed in pen, grammar rules were always followed, but everyone says our Mom was one cool lady.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Charlotte; husband, Robert; son, Robert Jr; three

siblings, Jack, Kathy and Joan.


Judy is survived by her sister Jane Cooperdock of Lancaster, NY; daughters Sue, Patty and Lynn; granddaughter Cambria; nieces Donna, Suzanne, Jennifer and nephews Jason and Steve.
