Karen Marconi SUN CITY, Arizona Obituary

Karen Marconi

Karen Marconi, wife, mother, grandmother, and partner, passed away on May 31, 2016. Karen was born June 1, 1951, in Albany, New York. Her father was a construction worker that brought his family to Arizona when she was three years old. Her early life consisted of moving from small town to small town, including Tuba City, Globe, and even smaller towns, finally settling in Prescott. She graduated from Alhambra High School. Her first job was at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and from there she went to work at American Express, working her way up to project manager of special projects. For American Express, she travelled around the U.S. and Canada. She actually was in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. She married the boy across the street, Thomas Marconi. She was the mother of two sons, Tony and Nick. She loved trips to Mexico with her sons, wild amusement park rides, and going to the drag races to watch her sons. She was a wonderful driver, but a lousy passenger. She liked quilting and making quilts as Christmas presents. She will be missed dearly.
