KENNETH LESIOW Obituary

Kenneth Michael Lesiow, 73, of Richland died January 29, 2012 after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born January 31, 1938, the son of Michael T. and Theresa (Rieger) Lesiow in Chicago. Ken graduated from Sunnyslope High School in Arizona and attended Arizona State University. He served in the Arizona National Guard from 1955 until 1963. After managing a Western Auto store in Arizona for several years, Ken worked for Cello-Foil Products, Inc. He began in Midwest Sales and moved up to Assistant V.P. in 1964, Vice President in 1970 and President and CEO in 1974. He retired in 2005 after serving as Chairman of the Board for seven years. Ken's first marriage was to Cordelia Weik. He is survived by his current wife, Carol Lesiow of Richland; son, Rieger (Suzanna) Lesiow of Battle Creek; daughter, Tiffany (Trevor) Younker of Battle Creek; step-sons, Christopher Rhodes of Caledonia, Timothy (Michelle) Rhodes of East Lansing and eight grandchildren, Lenae Lesiow, Haley Lesiow, Khelsea Younker, Jordan Younker and Chelsea Rhodes, Grant Rhodes, Joshua Rhodes and Jacob Rhodes. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Lesiow; sister, Judith Rose Lesiow; mother, Theresa Schultz; step-father, Paul Schultz and grandson, Hunter Ty Lesiow. Ken served on the board of Old Kent Bank, and on the board of Battle Creek Country Club. He was a member of the Gull Lake Country Club as well as the BCCC. He was also a member of Knife & Fork and several conservation clubs. Ken enjoyed his many friends and together they played golf, went fishing, hunting, boating, gaming and played a lot of gin rummy. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4:00 p.m. and 6 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek. Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, Battle Creek with Rev. Jeff Carlson officiating. Interment with military honors will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Glendale Memorial Park Cemetery, Glendale, Arizona. If desired, memorial donations may be given to his grandson's memorial fund, the Hunter Ty Lesiow Memorial Fund through Battle Creek Community Foundation, 34 West Jackson Street, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
