Lillie Klenke Obituary

Lillie P. (Peller) Klenke, 92, of Peoria, AZ passed away peacefully on December 4, 2014. She was born on March 16, 1922 in Shinnston, West Virginia and moved to Michigan in 1936. She has lived in Arizona since 1959. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50+years, Owen E. Klenke; her parents Antonio and Josephine (Metz) Peller; her sisters, Rose Chiccarella, Sophie Belcastro and Mary DelVero as well as her brother Pat Peller. Lillie is survived by her daughters Patricia Ochocki (Dwight), Barbara Carlton and Joanne Santarelli (Denton) and four, loving grandchildren - Valerie Brady (Ryan), Trevor Ochocki (Regina), Tami Ochocki (Matt) and Lachelle Carlton and eight, special great-grandchildren. Valerie's children, Aidan, Owen and Evan; Trevor's children, Jaylynn and Trent; Tami's children, Tate, Wade and Duke along with special friends Joyce Stringer, Enid Stringer, Gloria and Art LeDesma and Mike, Kathy and Casey Hosek. Lillie loved her church, family and friends. She was a friend to all and was loved by everyone who knew her. Lillie was a strong Italian woman who became a hair dresser, but she was mostly known as a homemaker who loved to sew and without fail was always there for her family and friends. Lillie loved her chocolate and always dressed to perfection. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6180 W. Utopia Rd., Glendale, AZ 85308 with a Celebration of Life immediately following the service. For those not inclined to send flowers, it would be Lillie's desire to have donations made to Hospice of the Valley, 9435 W. Peoria, AZ 85345.
