Lola Flores
Lola May Ann Flores (Dahle), 90, passed away on December 11, 2019, at her home in Peoria, Arizona. She was born in Deer Creek Township, Minnesota, to parents Alma Dahle (Pederson) and August Dahle. Lola was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Earl Flores, both parents as well as her two brothers: Orville Dahle and Lloyd Dahle, and her two sisters: Phyllis Reimer and Carol Macklanburg. She is survived by her three children: David Earl Flores (Yolanda), Karen Anette Dreyer, Terresa Rae Priebe (Carey); and five grandchildren: Geoffrey Flores, Kimberly Brown, Christopher Dreyer, Carey J. Priebe, Carissa Priebe. Lola and her husband Earl spent 40 years in Verndale, Minnesota where they built several businesses, raised their three children and were active and beloved within the community. Lola participated in numerous local organizations and often looked out for those who needed a helping hand. Upon retirement Lola and Earl moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. They enjoyed spending time in the desert and traveling through the area’s towns and villages. Lola always had a sense of adventure, moving to an unfamiliar city (Kansas City, Missouri) by herself at the age of 18 and later discovering the beauty of the southwest. Lola will be remembered as a woman of grace and kindness, resolve and integrity. She was spirited, loved music and loved to dance. Lola was the “rock” of our family. We are so thankful that she was a strong presence in our lives. Interment will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada, on February 14, 2020, at 12:40pm.
