Marianna Jones Koch was beloved by all who knew her. At 91yrs., Marianna passed, May 31, 2017​ in Sun City, AZ​ Born: April 14, 1926 to Blanche Marie Kuder Jones & Robert Earl Jones in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. Marianna graduated from Ohio State University School of Nursing, Cadet Nursing Program; then received her Master's Degree from University of Missouri. July 12, 1952, Marianna Married Philip Louis Koch, a broadcasting engineer, born in St. Louis, MO. Marianna's professional experience included: Staff nurse, Children's Hospital, Columbus Ohio; Instructor, St. Louis City Hospital; collaborated on Missouri's 1st State Board Exam for Practical Nurses; Instructor, Board of Education, St.Louis, Missouri; Instructor, Medical Surgical Nursing,​St. Louis City Hospital, MO &​ St. Mary's Hospital, Quincy, IL; Author, Author/Collaborator, Mosby's Textbooks: "Practical Nursing" & "Medical Surgical Nursing"; author "Figures That Count" Mathematics for Nurses; Director of Nurses, Community School of Practical Nursing, Missouri; Supervisor, Jackson County Nursing Home, Murphysboro, IL ​&​ Doctor's Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL. Marianna enjoyed cross stitching, reading & genealogical research to name a few. Marianna was raised in a household of faith in God and Jesus Christ.​ On December 27, 1974 she was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ​Philip & Marianna were sealed in the Oakland Temple August 17, 1979.​ ​Marianna lived valiant in her testimony of Jesus Christ​ all her life. Philip Louis preceded Marianna​ in death​ on November 12, 2010. Marianna is survived by ​son,​ Curtis Mark Koch of Olney IL​; David Philip Koch;​ and daughter, Kathleen Marie Womack; ​5​ Granddaughters; ​7​ Great Grandsons & 5 Great Granddaughters. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Sun City LDS Ward Chapel, 13014 N. 108th Avenue, Sun City, AZ 85351. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W Beardsley Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027. Arrangements are under the care of Regency Mortuary, 9850 W. Thunderbird Rd., Sun City, AZ 85351
