Martha Wiess

Martha Jean Wiess, 66, of Goodyear, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 , in Peoria , Arizona. Mom was born to Sally and William Yoesting on July 21, 1953, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was raised in the Phoenix area with her brother, Mark Yoesting, and graduated from Alhambra High School Mom loved crafting, knitting, crocheting, playing piano, decorating, going to church, vacationing, camping, Disneyland and being at every event possible that her children or grandchildren were involved with. Baseball games, Volleyball games, Football games, Plays, dance recitals...all of it..mom was there! She was our biggest supporter and fan. Mom retired from Peoria School District after 32 years of service. She drove a school bus for the majority of that time, she was a CDL instructor and a dispatcher before she retired. Mom was able to drive all of our field trips, football games and bus evacuation drills because of her career. Always involved with everything we did as kids. She was an amazing mom. At the end of her life she was attending Lifeway Church in Buckeye Az. However, she played the piano and/or organ for many years at Cathedral of the Valley church in Glendale and Spirit of Grace church in Peoria. Surviving her is son Travis (wife Stacy) Cormier, son Craig (wife Corrine) Cormier, and daughter Courtney (husband Robert) Palma. She is also survived by 7 grandkids- Austin, Tyler, Tanner, Cailin, Hunter, Kamrie and Canyon; and 4 great grankids- Landon, Faith, Everly, Irelan.
