Mildred (Millie) Grace Krueger Kilberg

Born April 26, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois and peacefully passed on January 7, 2016. Millie was preceded in death by parents, Robert Carl and Grace Emily (Millard) Krueger, loving husband Alvin Carl, sister, Ruth Donahue and brothers, Robert and Herbert Krueger. She is survived by 3 sons Alan (Kathy); Eric (Sonja); and Donald (Laura): 6 grandchildren Reid (Carrie); Kerry (Tim) Schilling; Carolyn (Mark) Sandberg; Krista; Allison; and Brian: 8 great-grandchildren Ben, Olivia, Tessa, & Annika Kilberg; Sam & Eli Schilling; Naia & Jesse Sandberg: sister Dorothy Smith along with nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbors and friends.

Millie met the love of her life, Alvin at Northwestern University in Chicago. They were married September 16, 1939, and enjoyed 44 years of marriage. Al's job took them to Minnesota where they resided for 27 years. After Al's retirement they moved to Sun City West where Millie has resided for 37 years.

Millie loved traveling and discovering new adventures. She has seen most of the United States as well as Europe and Asia. She was a voracious reader, daily crossword puzzle solver, active in her church and social chairperson for her condo association for many years. While a social golfer, Millie had 2 holes in one in her lifetime. She enjoyed a martini just so her grandchildren could eat the olives!!

A celebration of Millie's 100 years of life will take place at Lord of Life Lutheran church, 13724 Meeker Blvd. Sun City West, AZ 85375 on January 23, 2016 at 11 am.
