Oralia Parra

Oralia (Lallie) Parra, 78, died of heat exposure on Thursday, June 22, 2017, in Peoria, Arizona, after wandering off from her care facility. She was born August 26, 1938, in Edroy, Texas, to the late Elisa and Tomas Hernandez. She married the late Pete Parra in 1965. She worked as a facilitator for Micro Tech Electronics in Scottsdale, Arizona, until her retirement. After retiring, Oralia spent most of her time caring for her great-grand children. They knew her as “Nani”, and she cherished her time with them. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit. Oralia was preceded in death by her husband Pete, her son Pete, Jr. and her sister Lupe Nuñez. She is survived by her children, Veronica Hernandez and Anna Lopez; her grandchildren, Estrella Lopez, Roxanne Lapsley, Bill Lapsley, Shyla Garcia, Desiree Parra, David Flores, Anais Flores, Kristyn Lopez and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings: Natividad Traslaviña, Lydia Gano, Alicia Jones, Leo G. Hernandez, Tom Hernandez, Sylvia Rivera, and Dahlia Hernandez. She leaves behind many extended family members, who love and mourn her. Viewing will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Regency Mortuary 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 6, 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 7655 E Main St., Scottsdale, AZ. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St., Phoenix, AZ.
