Robert Zick

Robert “Bob” Zick, age 90 (1927 – 20017) passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Bob was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Fenger High School. He played professional baseball in the early 1950’s for the LA Angels and the Chicago Cubs. He also served in the Army during WWII. Bob worked for Verson Allsteel Press Company most of his working career as a salesperson. With his job, he worked in many parts of the country in addition to 2 – 3 years in Waterloo, Belgium. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds of golf with family and friends. He passed on his love of baseball and golf to his grandson. He was an active member of the Professional Baseball Alumnae Association for many years in the Valley of the Sun. After retirement, Bob and family became longtime residents of Arizona where he resided until his death. Bob is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (“Betty”), his two daughters Robin Gonzales and Bonnie Moschella (Jay) and his grandson Matthew Robert. There will be no services per his wishes.
