YUKIKO SMITH

Yukiko Smith, 83, passed on April 19, 2011, with her Son by her side in Phoenix Arizona. She was born August 6, 1927 in Kanagawa, Japan to Aiko and Takeshi Matsumoto as the youngest of her two sisters and senior to her brother. Yuki was a very kind and caring person who always helped those around her. She brightened the lives of her friends and family both in the United States and Japan. She provided a loving environment for her only Son to grow and develop and taught him to honor and cherish life. Her interests were family, friends, Japanese TV shows and enjoying Japanese cuisine but her passion was Sunday Bingo with all her friends where they would gather hours before just to enjoy each others company. Yuki is survived by her son, Timothy Smith and two sisters Ayako Fujiwara and Shizuko Eguchi. She was preceded in death by her brother Takeo Matsumoto.
