Joan Cosenza

Joan Cosenza, wife of Michael Cosenza, former owner of the Crescent Smoke Shop. Leaving Brooklyn, New York In 1947 for a new life in Tucson. As wife and mother she cared for a three generation home. Creative, self taught in culinary, cooking, baking. Always an elegant table, in a welcoming setting. Joan loved beautiful things, collected and surrounded herself and others. She was a “fashionista” from her youth. She changed clothing more often than most others, a constant to her last days. Volunteered at voter registration, ushered at the theaters of arts, music, dance. A life of experiences, shared with family friends on a long journey. Visitation in Joan's Honor will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with a brief Funeral Service beginning at 10:30 am at Abbey Funeral Chapel, 3435 N 1st Avenue, Tucson, AZ, 85719. (520) 888-1111. Entombment at Holy Hope Cemetery will be private.
