Alice Jewett

Alice Jewett passed away with her girls by her side on November 16, 2014 at the age of 92. She was born in Decatur, IL January 12, 1922. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jewett. She is survived by her three children, Jill Jewett, Stephen Jewett (Elisabeth) and Jack Jewett (Joyce); her grandchildren, Jennifer Riggs, Courtney Riggs, Martin Jewett (Ivy), Christopher Jewett (Cindy), Emilie Jewett-Curley (Michael), Jack Jewett and Jeff Jewett, also four great-grandsons, her sister, Julia Erickson and many nieces and nephews. After 24 years as an Air Force wife, Alice was integral in the running of Territorial Publishers. She is not only leaving an unfillable hole in her family; but also her extensive circle of friends. Often she could be found pursuing her passion for golf alongside her friends where she was known for her "Aliceisms". Her intelligent conversations, wit, humor and especially her laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo del Norte on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Donations can be made in Alice's name to The American Cancer Society and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel. -
