Arthur M Colville

Arthur M. Colville, Jr. passed away on October 3, 2015. Born on December 8, 1925 to Melvin and Pauline Colville in Royal Oak, Michigan. Art spent his early years in the Royal Oak area, enjoying summers on Crystal Lake in the Traverse City area with his parents and brothers. Art was in training to become a Navy Aviator when WWII came to an end. Returning home he soon married his first love, Phyllis Esslinger - a marriage that lasted until Phyllis' passing earlier this year. Art worked in sales, starting with cars in the Detroit area for a family dealership and ending in Tucson as the owner of Christie's Appliance. In retirement he and Phyllis enjoyed extensive travels in the country and in Europe, always returning to spend summers by the lake in Michigan. Art is survived by son, Robert (Susan) Colville and daughters, Anne (James) Booth, Nancy (David) Rodriguez and Sue Colville as well as by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom treasure the love and care that he and Phyllis bestowed upon them. A family Service will be held at St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Tucson Medical Center Hospice Services.
