Barbara Adel Robinson Obituary

Barbara Adel Robinson passed through “God’s other door” at age 90, at home in Tucson on March 3, 2017. Born in Alexandria, Virginia on October 3, 1926, she is survived by two daughters, Carolyn and Tanya, son, David, and daughter-in-law, Snake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lytle, son, Stephen, and daughter-in-law, Lyn Wilson. Barbara worked at Tucson Medical Center and the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, volunteered with the homeless, and advocated for the mentally ill. She was proud to be in the first graduating class at Pima College, and earned her MS degree in counseling from UA in 1978. An active member of Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment for nearly 70 years, she authored numerous articles about reincarnation and early Christianity published in their magazine ‘Venture Inward’, and wrote the introduction to the reissue of her husband’s book, “Edgar Cayce’s Origin and Destiny of Man”. Barbara received much joy from weekly gatherings with dear friends in her home to discuss spirituality and Cayce readings. She considered life to be an adventure and each person she met to be a friend. A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s divine journey will be held at the Adair Funeral Home at 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. in Tucson at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9. An informal gathering will take place afterwards, with burial at East Lawn cemetery (5801 E. Grant Road) at 1:45 p.m. Barbara’s favorite charities were Casa Maria Catholic Worker Community, 401 E. 26th Street, 85713, and the Community Food Bank.
