Brewster Phelan Carter 8/11/1924 - 8/3/2011 Born in Alexandria, LA. Survived by wife, Jo Harden Carter; brother, Whitney (Medora) Carter and sister-in-law, Kathleen Shaw; children, Judy (Jerry) Yates, Cheryl (Steve) John, Donna (Felipe) Lundin, Karen (Michael) Alfred, Bruce Carter and step-daughter, Permelia Harden. Also survived by nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Carter; parents, Gresham and Mary; brothers, James and David Carter; grandson, Jason Carter Walls and great-granddaughter, Andria Ziegler-McManus. Brewster graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as an engineer for 60 years retiring this February from TME, Inc., a Tucson engineering firm. Brewster was a special person who loved his family and friends. He has been a member of Catalina United Methodist Church since 1960. Services will be held at Catalina Methodist Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Donations to Habitat for Humanity or Catalina Methodist is suggested in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
