Carl Peterson

Carl O. Peterson Our beloved father passed away peacefully on April 1, 2012 at Amore Assisted living. Carl was born on August 6, 1925 in Osceola, Nebraska. He spent most of his adult life in Nebraska and Kansas and has been in Tucson for 16 years. Carl was a loving husband, father and proud to say he was a WWII Naval veteran and union card carrying cement mason for almost 65 years. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Coletta in 2008; his parents, eight siblings and a daughter, Venise Wiard. Carl was a perfectionist in cement, World Wide Concrete instructor, Portland Cement Association Regional Representative, Job Corp. Coordinator, Veteran's Readjustment Act Coordinator, superintendent and project coordinator for major projects around the Midwest including project coordinator for missile silo constructions. But his passion for life was in his wife and family. He is survived by two brothers, Wayne and Rodney Peterson; children are Sharon Meyer and husband, Allan, Diannae Hernandez and husband, Vincent, Wesley Peterson and wife, Marti Phillips, Janet Miller and Allen; ten grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many but so happy to see Mom again who was his life. Visitation will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 8650 N. Shannon, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family is grateful for the assistance of Hospice Family Care. In lieu of flowers, his family request masses to be said in his behalf.
