Carol O. Shaw, 81 of Tucson passed away on April 13, 2017. Carol is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Gordon, by her children, daughter Julia Lynn Gattarello (Len) of Katy, TX; son Jeffrey Gordon Shaw (Wendy) of Salina, KS. Carol is also survived by her siblings, Nancy Byrne (Robert) of Montgomery, TX; David Otto (Judy) of Indianapolis, IN; Betsy Faro (Randall) of Olympia, WA and granddaughter, Ayla of Katy, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by Father, William Charles Otto; Mother, Dorothy Otto and niece Jennifer Affeldt. She was born on December 26, 1935 to William and Dorothy Otto of Indianapolis, IN. She attended Purdue University and received her Bachelor of Science. She married Gordon Glen Shaw on September 1, 1957 at Meridian Street Methodist Church in Indianapolis, IN. Gordon and Carol spent most of their married life in Edina, MN, but also spent six years in Auckland, NZ and retired to Tucson, AZ in 1999. Carol is a member of Catalina Foothills Presbyterian Church where she was very active in the choir, Bible studies and missions group. Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:00 am at Catalina Foothills Presbyterian Church at 2150 Orange Grove Road, Tucson. Officiating will be Reverend Winston Maddox and Reverend Mark Roessler Emeritus. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Friends of Sabino Canyon or Peppi’s House – TMC Foundation.
