Carol Sieber Tucson, Arizona Obituary

Carol Sieber

Carol Louise Sieber, nee Smith age 78, was born on May 17, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away December 31, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She graduated with honors from both Hughes High School and the University of Cincinnati. While attending UC, Carol was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and met her future husband, Otto F. Sieber, Jr. Carol supported Otto across the globe as he went through his early medical career – from El Paso, Texas to Washington, DC on to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and finally, Tucson, Arizona. She was the ideal mother, raising two daughters, Lise and Lynne and her son, Otto III, dedicated to their education and development in the classroom and on the sports fields. Her support to the Amphitheater School District Sports program was unparalleled. If there was a game, Mom was there in full team regalia and spirit, particularly Amphi Football! Since 1970, Tucson has been Carol's home. Her soul was captivating as she developed friend after friend. Kindness and giving were her profession, yet she made her living as a bookkeeper working for several Tucson area small businesses and non-profit organizations. Her last position at The West, Inc allowed her to pursue her needlepoint passion. Carol is survived by her children and three wonderful grandchildren John, Analise and Sabine. Her sister, Joanne Lawrence lives in Springfield, Ohio. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Little Chapel of All Nations at 1401 1st Street. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The West, Inc or the University of Arizona Cancer Center in her name. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel
